Art & Jazz

Art & Jazz is a virtual series dedicated to combining music and visual art to heighten the enjoyment of both art forms.  Hosted by Muzeo, Art & Jazz will be presented LIVE for the first time on February 11, 2024.  Jazz Artist in Residence, Elena Gilliam brings Art & Jazz to life as a backdrop for the Muzeo’s extraordinary exhibit “Traditions: honoring heritage, ritual and family”.  A Live jazz Trio will perform, while visitors stroll through the Main Gallery to glimpse the brilliant work of community artists.  Art & Jazz will display a brief history of smooth jazz highlighting the work of Grover Washington Jr., known as “the father” of smooth jazz, David Sanborn, Stanley Turrentine, and other well-known smooth jazz artists.
