Join us for a special 25th anniversary screening of the ground-breaking documentary Dogtown and Z-Boys with an exclusive Q&A after the movie with the skateboard legends who were part of the film.
Starting in 1970s California, this documentary begins with the history of skateboarding and the significance of surf culture within the skate community. Surf shop owners Craig Stecyk, Jeff Ho and Skip Engblom established the Zephyr Skateboard Team with local teens from broken homes, now known as the Z-Boys. The sport of skateboarding evolved and the Zephyr team started gaining national attention as they competed in skateboard championships and were recognized for their edgy skills as young athletes.
