Sylvia Chavez & Friends Present An Afternoon Of Poetry

Sylvia Chavez writes across a variety of genres as a playwright, blogger, poet, fiction and creative non-fiction writer. Her plays have been featured in the Teatro Frida Kahlo Theater 10-Minute Playwriting Festival (2013-2018) and at the Chicanas, Cholas, Y Chisme Theater Festival (2013 – 2015). In 2015, Sylvia was an Artist-In-Residence at Dorland Mountain Arts Colony where she was wrote in solitude at a cabin overlooking the hills of Temecula, CA. In the 2016, Sylvia joined Las Lunas Locas for their inaugural California Poetry Road Trip where they were invited to perform poetry readings in San Francisco, Sacramento, Oakland and Fresno. Her most recent poetry appears in Las Lunas Locas, I Rite To Live anthology, and in The Words of Women (ITWOW) International anthology published by Yellow Chair Review.

Carnegie Gallery

The Historic 1908 Carnegie Library is on the United States National Register of Historic Places, and was built using a 10K grant funded by Andrew Carnegie. It served as the city library until 1963, then became home to the Anaheim Museum in 1987 before becoming part of Muzeo in 2007. Available for private event rental.
