Beauty Beneath the Rubble is a non-profit educational platform that aims to re-shape the narrative about conflict-stricken countries.  Its purpose is to highlight and preserve the rich heritage and history of countries facing conflict through children’s books.  By doing so, the organization hopes to humanize the people that are from these places, address xenophobia, increase diversity in children’s books and combat today’s negative news cycle.  Stories have transformative power.  Beauty Beneath the Rubble believes that by changing the narrative, they can help change the world.
