Muzeo announces Interim Executive Director

ANAHEIM, CA, February 22, 2018 – Muzeo announces the appointment of Josh Spears as Interim Executive Director, effective February 1, following the move of former director Dan Finley to a new position at the Desert Caballeros Western Museum in Wickenburg, Arizona.

Spears, an Anaheim native and long-term resident, came to Muzeo in 2016 to help launch the Dressing Downton exhibition and has been an integral part of the team since that time. With a management degree, he brings 15 years of experience to the position as well as a dedicated understanding and commitment to the city of Anaheim.

“I was raised in Anaheim and have a true sense of the community and its diversity. I look forward to contributing to the endeavors of Muzeo and to the continued development of the city in a positive fashion,” commented Spears.

Spears has raised two daughters in Anaheim as well and has fond memories of visits to Muzeo when his girls were younger. Their first exhibition was Frogs: A Chorus of Colors, and Spears noted “that the girls still have mementos of the exhibit in their memory boxes.”

“I hope to make rooted memories for all of our patrons, memories that will lead back to Muzeo and our great city of Anaheim.”
