SoCal Ceramics and Glass

November 12, 2016 – January 1, 2017

The Association of Clay & Glass Artists of California (ACGA) presents SoCal Ceramics and Glass at Muzeo Museum and Cultural Center’s Carnegie Building, November 12, 2016 through January 1, 2017. This members exhibition features the artworks of eight invited southern California artists: Caroline Blackburn, Pierre Bounaud, Beverly Crist, Maria DeCastro, Paul Harrie, George Jercich, Alone Larsen, and Cheryl Tall. The exhibition presents a diverse array of techniques and approaches to handmade ceramics and glass, with each artist showing a group of original pieces in their respective media. Artworks produced using various firing temperatures and working methods, from functional to sculptural, are displayed.

Join us for the Opening Reception of SoCal Ceramics and Glass from 6-8pm during Downtown Anaheim’s Art Crawl Experience (ACE). Free and open to the public.

ACGA is an artist run membership organization dedicated to the advancement of ceramic and glass arts. The mission of ACGA is to establish and maintain high standards of craftsmanship and design in clay and glass, to encourage research, innovation and professional growth, to promote public appreciation and understanding of ceramic art, and to provide an opportunity for the exchange of ideas and concerns within the field. Carnegie Gallery

The Historic 1908 Carnegie Library is on the United States National Register of Historic Places, and was built using a 10K grant funded by Andrew Carnegie. It served as the city library until 1963, then became home to the Anaheim Museum in 1987 before becoming part of Muzeo in 2007. Available for private event rental.
