Musician Elena Gilliam hosts another installment of Art & Jazz, this time featuring the Savanna High School Jazz Band!
The Savanna HS Instrumental music program has a rich history & tradition of excellence since 1961. The instrumental music program is comprised of several ensembles, including jazz band, three concert bands, percussion/drumline, color guard, and marching band.
Under the direction of Fernando Peñaloza and Jordan Ferrin, the Savanna High School Jazz Band is made up of passionate student musicians dedicated to the Jazz music genre. The group’s talents have been showcased at school or district events, as well as outside venues such as the Pilgrim’s Coffee House in Fullerton, CA and most recently at the Anaheim Packing House. The Savanna Jazz Band continues to represent their school with musical and artistic pride & excellence, while cultivating a love for jazz performance and collaboration, and sharing the love for music & jazz with a wide variety of audiences.
