The amazing MUZEO Express: Holiday Model Trains exhibit is made possible by a dedicated group of train hobbyists who take great pride in their craft.
“Ask a Hobbyist” gives everyone who shares an interest in model trains the opportunity to enjoy more than half a dozen large model train setups and get answers from members of the Train Collectors Association and the Toy Train Operating Society to such questions as:
- Why are we so interested in trains?
- How and why did we get involved with these train clubs?
- How did we build the train layouts you see at MUZEO?
- What are the different gauges for model and toy trains?
- How did we start collecting model trains?
- How do I become a model train hobbyist myself?
- How do I solve a problem with my own model trains?
The hobbyists will have a table set up with a model train for demonstration purposes while they answer your questions.
We invite beginners and experts alike to come and learn from these knowledgeable train collectors and enjoy this nostalgic and festive holiday MUZEO tradition!
