Hourly Pay: $18

Weekly Hours: 32 – 40

Shifts: 10:30am – 5:30pm

Days: Wednesday – Sunday

Internship Duration: 6 Months

Museum Preparator Position Summary:

The Installation/Preparator Specialist will work directly with executive and

curatorial staff to perform all duties related to exhibition preparation. This includes:

installation, de-installation, packing/unpacking/crating of art objects, shipping,

receiving artwork, coordinating necessary staff and materials, the organization of

art storage areas and the entire facility.

Responsibilities:

Ability to lift 30 lbs. or more
Submit supply requests as needed
Work with support staff on installation
Assist with gallery de-install, installation, art handling and displays
Assist with planning, logistics and execution of exhibits change over
Meet with program and exhibit staff to identify needs and logistics
Set up and break down program and event equipment (may include some evenings and weekends)
Keep the galleries, storage and work areas, and public areas orderly, clean and in proper working order
